A family tradition on New Year’s Day in our family is a stuffed Hog Maw. The sound of what it is may turn some people off but you don’t actually eat the Maw you eat the stuffing.Ingredients: 1 Hog Maw (pig stomach) 2 lb of ground country sausage 4 medium potatoes diced 2 carrots diced 1 medium onion diced 1 head of cabbage diced salt/pepper Directions: Mix all ingredients together in large mixing bowl. Clean the maw and stuff full. Close with tooth picks, you can also use needle and thread. Bake at 350 degrees for 3 hours. After 1 hour prick with a fork. Happy New Years !!!
